2007 Year in Review

Americans for the Arts Public Art Network announces a call for submissions for the 2007 Year in Review, in partnership with the Western States Arts Federation (WESTAF). Submitted public art projects will be reviewed and selected by public artist James Carpenter and writer and professor Miwon Kwon.

Projects selected by the reviewers will be presented at the annual national Americans for the Arts conference "Risk and Reward: Balancing Acts in Arts and Community" public art track, held in Las Vegas, June 1-3, 2007. The 2007 Year in Review highlights innovative and exciting examples of public art and serves as a planning tool for communities developing public art programs and an invaluable visual resource for public art administrators, educators, libraries, universities, art commissions, consultants, artists and designers. The 2007 Year in Review CD-ROM will be available in the Americans for the Arts bookstore.

Submitted public art projects must have been completed between April 2006 and April 2007. Each application must include six digital images of the completed public art project, a project description (no more than 300 words), artist name(s), commissioning agency, project title, location, materials, budget, and completion date. Organizations and artists are encouraged to submit no more than 4 projects. All materials must be submitted in digital format through CaFÉ at callforentry.org.
