2 Rivers Art Project

The exhibit is open to professional and amateur artists of all backgrounds. Each artist may enter up to two works with no limitations on dimensions. A selection committee will review all entries and choose up to 10 pieces based on originality, durability, suitability for outdoors, and safety for the public. Selected artists must deliver their works by May 28/29, 2009 to the designated installation site.

The pieces will be displayed for one year. Local businesses will sponsor the installation of individual pieces and have the opportunity to purchase them outright after one year. A reception will be held at the end of the cycle to award the Citizen's Choice sculpture. Any pieces not purchased will be returned to the artist. If a piece is purchased during the exhibit year, the purchaser will be asked to leave it in the exhibit until the next sculpture change. In rare instances when a purchaser must take the piece before the sculpture change, the artist is offered the opportunity to install a new piece.

Submission requirements: Submit 1 to 2 digital images and a narrative describing you and your piece (no more than 30 words). Entry fee is $30.00, payable by Visa or Mastercard. Selected artists will be notified by March 20, 2009 and asked to provide a high quality electronic image for the full color brochure.
