About This Call
Peter Miller Fine Art (PMFA) photography gallery seeks exhibition-ready work from established and emerging photographers for its 1st International Open Call juried show, May 21 - June 12, 2015, juried by Rob Van Petten.
PMFA invites photographers working in all mediums, styles, and schools of thought to participate. All photo-based printed images are welcome with no limitation to subject matter or technique. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Artwork must be photography-based and limited to a maximum height or width (including the frame) of 40 inches. Photographers must be age 18 or older. All entries will be anonymously reviewed and judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, and artistic merit.
Entry fee is $30 for three pieces and $10 for each additional entry, with a limit of 6 entries per person. Images should be saved as JPG, highest quality, sRGB color space, 1920 pixels on the longest side, and file size less than 5 megabytes. Entry deadline is May 3, 2015 at 11:59 pm MDT. All applicants will be notified by email on May 6, 2015. Accepted artwork must be professionally printed and framed with either glass or plexi, wired with D-rings and ready to hang. Prints on aluminum, wood, or other alternative materials are acceptable. All work accepted for gallery exhibition must be for sale, and PMFA will retain a 30% commission on sales. Awards include Best of Show $300, 2nd place $200, and 3rd place $100 as gift cards from Hunts Photo & Video. The awards reception is Thursday May 21, 5 to 7pm. A print service is available for distant photographers at $40 per print to avoid shipping costs.
