1st Annual New Frontiers Juried Art Show and Sale

The New Frontiers Art Show is a juried exhibition that pushes the definition of Western Art and is accessible to all types of buyers, from those just starting to collect art to collectors looking for something different. The show will demonstrate that the West we honor is alive and evolving. All art is selected by an independent jury comprised of professionals in the art community. Award judging is completed the Thursday before the New Frontiers Opening Reception.

The exhibition runs November 4 – December 4, 2022 at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. Artists may submit up to four pieces total. Entry fee is $10 per piece, plus a $10 media fee. All images must be sized no smaller than 1200 pixels on the longest side and submitted as JPEG files under 5MB. Installation art is not accepted. All entries are due by June 17, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Acceptance notifications will be sent July 8, 2022.

All artworks must be original, created within the last three years, and not previously shown at any CFD Old West Museum Art Show. 2-D pieces must not exceed 47 inches horizontal or 60 inches vertical. 3-D pieces must not exceed three square feet at the base. All accepted works must arrive show-ready with proper hanging wire systems. All artworks must be for sale; the Museum collects a 35% commission on each sale. Accepted artwork must remain on exhibit until the show closes. Hand delivery of accepted work is September 26 – 30, 2022. Shipping deadline is September 19 – 23, 2022.
