1st Annual MINT Gallery All Media Juried Exhibition: Live Amateurs

MINT Gallery announces an all-media juried exhibition titled "Live Amateurs," showcasing emerging artists from the Southeastern United States. The exhibition will be held at MINT Gallery in Atlanta, GA from January 11 to February 8, 2014, and is juried by artist Craig Drennen.

Eligibility is open to emerging artists 18 years of age and older living and working in the Southeast (AL, AR, DC, FL, GA, KY, LA, MD, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA, WV). Entries must be original works completed within the last two years and not previously exhibited at MINT Gallery. Emerging artists are defined as those in an early stage of their career with relevant specialized training and a proven record of dedication and professional achievement, and may not have current gallery representation in or outside of Atlanta. All mediums are accepted including drawing, painting, sculpture, design, glass, metalwork, photography, video, audio, mixed media, installation, and performance art.

Entry fee is $25, with an additional $5 media fee per sample beyond the first four. Applicants may submit 4-10 total work samples (0-10 images, 0-4 audio files, 0-4 video files). All participating artists receive discounted accommodation at the neighboring Highland Inn for the opening reception weekend. One artist will be selected for a solo exhibition at MINT Gallery in Summer 2014, which includes complimentary accommodation at the Highland Inn, an honorarium for supplies, and an installation assistant for the week.
