19th Annual Exploring the Light Photo Show

The 19th Annual Exploring the Light Photo Show is a juried photography exhibition at the Lone Tree Arts Center. Photographers must be local to Colorado and able to deliver and pick up their work in person.

Eligible photographers may submit up to 3 original images completed within the last 2 years that have not been shown in a previous Lone Tree Photo Show. Images must be for sale and non-offensive to a general audience. Submissions are made via CaFE with a $35 non-refundable entry fee. Images are juried by blind jury review and selected works are juried again for awards based on final presentation. Total cash awards are estimated at $3,350, with first, second, and third place winners in each category, plus Best of Show and People's Choice awards. Award-winning photographers receive gallery space for several weeks after the show.

All accepted images must be professionally framed and ready to hang, meeting gallery quality standards. Frames must be reinforced with hardware and picture hanging wire, and finished pieces must not exceed 48x48" or weigh more than 35 lbs. Images cannot display the artist's name on the front. Drop-off is May 24th from 3:00pm-6:00pm and pick-up is July 19th from 3:00pm-6:00pm. The exhibit runs May 26th - July 18th. The Lone Tree Arts Center retains 20% commission on all sales. Categories include Animals, Drone, Landscape, Light Painting, and People. The 2021 juror is Glenn Randall, a landscape photographer and author.
