17th Street Arts Festival

The 3rd Annual 17th Street Arts Festival is produced by Arts Cheyenne with key sponsorship from the Cheyenne Downtown Development Authority/Main Street, the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, and the Wyoming Arts Council. The festival takes place August 15-16, 2014 at Downtown Dinneen Plaza (between Thomes and Carey Ave on W. 17th Street, Downtown Cheyenne).

Visual artists are invited to exhibit in almost 10,000 square feet of covered tent space. The festival features a welcome reception/wine tasting event, expanded music and dance performance schedule, hands-on children's workshops, and an expanded Artisan Boulevard. An exhibit space fee of $175 per 8x10' space or $200 per 10x10' space is collected after acceptance. No commission is taken on works sold. Exhibit spaces are housed in an all-weather Navitrac frame tent, with space assignments made by July 15, 2014.

Exhibit space amenities include electricity (limited to 5 amps or 550 watts; artists must provide their own extension cords and power strips), functional lighting throughout the tent, and an exhibitor sign listing the artist name, exhibit space number, medium, and hometown. Artists are responsible for their own display materials, including seating and tables. SSAF volunteers are available to assist with booth sitting, unloading, setup, breakdown, and load-out. Portable restrooms are available near the Visual Artists Tent, and food is available in the Artisan Boulevard or at the nearby Kiwanis Rib Fest. Entry deadline for visual artists is July 1, 2014. Submit 4-6 images with a $25 entry fee.
