About This Call
Blue Line Arts invites artists to participate in the 17th annual "Lottery for the Arts" fundraiser—an unforgettable evening where every ticket holder takes home a unique artwork generously provided by artists. This event raises critical funds directly supporting arts education programs for children, including free field trips for local underserved schools, youth mural projects, summer camps, and scholarships. By donating your artwork, you help students of all ages experience the transformative power of art, often for the very first time.
There is no theme requirement for submissions. Artists must submit an original artwork or limited-edition archival print valued at least $350. This is a free opportunity to submit work with the understanding that if selected by the juror, it will be a 100% donation to Blue Line Arts. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years, ready to hang with wire, and cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts.
Selected artists receive numerous benefits including the opportunity to be chosen for a Solo Exhibition at Blue Line Arts in 2027 or 2028, a spotlight in the Artist Directory for one year, and award opportunities including Juror's Selections for First, Second, and Third Place (all offered solo shows), First Pick Award ($100), and Board Choice Award ($100). Accepted pieces will appear on the Blue Line Arts website for online preview and be featured in e-blasts and social media posts. A special Preview Night reception for participating artists takes place Saturday, February 28th from 5-7pm, with the main Lottery Event on Saturday, March 14th from 5-9pm.
