17th Annual Juried Show: Beyond All Boundaries

Beyond All Boundaries is a celebration of boundary-pushing, unconventional, and undefinable art. Riverviews Artspace invites artists to submit works that explore the transformative power of art through material, concept, and form. The exhibition seeks artists whose practices engage in the radical expansion of their mediums, challenging traditional perceptions and material limitations. Works should offer a fresh angle—materially curious but also conceptually deep, emotionally resonant, and capable of surprising audiences. The exhibition celebrates art that blurs the lines between disciplines, embracing fluidity and uncertainty, and engages in conceptual risk-taking that pushes beyond established borders.

Juror Alpha Massaquoi Jr., Riverviews Artspace's current artist- and curator-in-residence, is drawn to "art that creates new emotional landscapes, that invites viewers into unfamiliar territories, and asks them to question their assumptions about both the medium and the message." Massaquoi is an interdisciplinary artist and poet whose practice centers on dismantling conventions, transforming materials traditionally bound to specific functions into vessels of storytelling and memory.

Eligibility: Artists based in the United States, ages 18 and over. Up to three entries in any medium. Artwork must be original, created within the last three years, not previously shown in the region, and must be for sale. AI-generated artwork will not be accepted. Entry fee is $35 for up to three artworks. Exhibition dates: November 7, 2025 - January 11, 2026. Entries due: Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Notification of selected artists: Monday, September 22. Artwork delivery: Thursday, October 23 from 12-6 p.m. Exhibition opening: Friday, November 7 at 5:30 p.m. with juror's talk and awards at 6:30 p.m. Artwork pickup: Monday, January 12 from 12-6 p.m. Awards: First Place ($1,000), Second Place ($500), Third Place ($250), People's Choice ($100). Accepted artwork must remain on view for the duration of the exhibition and be properly labeled on the back with name, title, media, and year. 2D work must arrive dry and ready to hang with appropriate hardware. 3D work must come with display instructions. Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of work and associated costs.
