17th Annual Juried Art Exhibition at Grace Gallery

Grace Centre welcomes entries for the 17th Annual Juried Art Exhibit in the Grace Centre Art Gallery, located at 495 Cardinal Road, Mills River, North Carolina. The exhibition will run from October 19, 2019 through January 8, 2020. The deadline for application is 9:00 PM EST on Saturday, October 5th, 2019. The 2019 juror is Asheville Studio Artist Sondra Dorn, an accomplished multimedia artist.

Applicants may submit up to 2 pieces of artwork. The entry fee is $15 for one piece and $25 for two pieces ($15 application fee plus $10 media fee for a second work sample). All profits from submission fees will be donated to charity. Artwork must be original and created within the last 5 years in any media. Both 2D and 3D work are welcomed. The size limit for 2D is 60"x60". The size limit for 3D is 24"x24"x24" to fit on pedestals; larger 3D pieces can be accommodated if they are self-supporting and can stand freely in the gallery space. Work samples must be JPEG format only. Images of nudity or violence will not be accepted. Work previously displayed in Grace Centre Gallery will not be accepted.

Selected artists will be notified via email on Wednesday, October 10, 2019. Accepted work must be delivered to Grace Centre Gallery no later than Monday, October 14, 2019. Drop-off times are Sunday, October 13th from 4-7 pm and Monday, October 14th from 9 am-12 noon. Contact [email protected] to arrange alternative delivery times. Winners will be announced at the Opening Reception on Saturday, October 19th at 6:30 pm. Cash prizes: Best in Show - $300, 1st Place - $200, 2nd Place - $100, Best Emerging Artist - $100. Artists must sign a liability release agreement upon admission into the show.
