16th National Photography Competition

The 16th National Photography Competition is open to all US residents 18 years of age or older, excluding fotofoto gallery artists. Any photographic medium including digital and alternative processes will be accepted. The maximum height or width of framed work cannot exceed 24 inches, and free-standing pieces cannot be accepted.

Approximately 30 photographs will be selected for a month-long exhibition from February 4 - March 6, 2021, displayed in the gallery and online on the website. Juror Karen Klinedinst will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, with awards of $300, $200, and $100 respectively. A reception is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, 2021. For accepted entries, shipping information will be provided upon completion of the jury process. Work should be framed in simple black or white frames with neutral museum quality mats, and all framed pieces must be wired.

Submissions must be made via the CaFE system; mail-in entries will not be considered. Entry fee is $40 for 5 images, with an additional $5 per image for images 6-15 (maximum 15 total). All submissions must be received by December 18, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications will be sent December 28, 2020, and framed photographs must be received by January 20, 2021.
