About This Call
The 16th Master Circle Division is a juried pastel exhibition held June 17–20, 2026 at Hotel Albuquerque, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The exhibition is open only to artists who have earned IAPS Master Circle or Eminent Pastelist status and must have current membership with an IAPS member society. Upon acceptance, artists are required to provide proof of membership.
Eligible work must be in dry pastel (no oil pastels; mixed media must be predominantly dry pastel), original and not copied from other artists or published materials, and created within the last two years. Work must not have been accepted in any previous IAPS exhibitions and must be for sale. All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of any photographic image. Work done in classroom or workshop scenarios is ineligible.
Entry fees are $35 for the first image and $10 for each additional image, with up to 5 images permitted per artist. No more than one entry per artist will be accepted. The entry deadline is April 1, 2026. All accepted artwork must be appropriately framed to museum standards with a maximum framed size of 40 inches in either direction. Artists outside the United States should ship unframed pieces; Weems Gallery will frame them for the show. A $100 handling fee applies to shipped work. Awards include Prix de Pastel ($2,000), Gold Award ($1,000), Silver Award ($600), Bronze Award ($400), and four Awards of Excellence ($200 each). Acceptance into the exhibition earns 1 point; awards earn an additional point toward IAPS honors. A 30% commission will be charged on sales, with payment made after the buyer takes possession at the close of the exhibition. Notifications will be emailed by April 30, 2026. For questions, contact Susan Weber at [email protected].
