15th Annual International Juried Exhibition - Belonging

The A.D. Gallery at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke welcomes all interpretations of the theme Belonging for their 15th Annual International Juried Exhibition running February 12-March 6, 2026. As our culture becomes increasingly divisive and exclusionary, what does it mean to belong? Why does it matter, and how do we find a sense of belonging? Artists are invited to submit two-dimensional or three-dimensional works, installations, or digital media (including video-based media). Originality of ideas and observations, as well as composition, technique, style, expression, and craft will be considered in the selection process.

The exhibition is juried by Annah Lee, Manager of the Cultural Center in Holly Springs, NC, who holds a Master's Degree in Art History and completed PhD coursework at UNC-Chapel Hill. Awards include $400 first prize, $200 second prize, and $100 third prize. The entry fee is $35.00, and artists may enter up to 3 works. Open to all national and international artists 18 years and older, works must be completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at the A.D. Gallery.

Accepted artists will be notified by December 22, 2025, and must deliver artwork to Pembroke, North Carolina by January 23, 2026. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping costs. Wall-mounted work cannot exceed 5' in height or width and 60lbs. Video submissions must be no longer than 5 minutes. All works must be original and ready to install, with 2-D work framed under plexiglass or glass and properly wired for hanging.
