14th Annual Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival

The 14th Annual Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival takes place May 11-16, 2020 in Wayne, Pennsylvania. The festival brings together 32 juried, nationally recognized and emerging artists to paint plein air in the Delaware Valley region. Artists work on locations throughout the surrounding areas, including quaint small towns, rolling hills, and views of Center City Philadelphia and its waterfronts along the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers.

Participating artists are housed by local residents and Wayne Art Center committee members. The festival begins Monday, May 11 with registration and a Welcome Dinner, followed by painting May 11-15 within 25 miles of Wayne. A Paint Out occurs Friday, May 15, and artists paint in the town of Wayne until noon on Saturday, May 16. The exhibition opens Saturday, May 16 with a Collectors' Soiree & Sale at 6-9 pm where awards totaling $20,000 will be presented by juror Kathryn Stats. A Juror's Demo and Talk with Kathryn Stats is held Sunday, May 17 at 3 pm, followed by a three-day plein air painting workshop May 18-20.

The exhibition of more than 300 paintings hangs in the Wayne Art Center galleries through the end of June. The galleries receive more than 30,000 visitors annually. Entry fee is $45.00. Applicants must submit 4 images. National eligibility. Contact: [email protected].
