About This Call
The 136th Annual Members Exhibition is open to current NAWA Signature Members only (Associate and free 1-year Graduating Student Members are not eligible). The exhibition entry fee is $65, and every juried-in NAWA Signature Member is entitled to submit one artwork. All entries are accepted for exhibition; works are juried for awards only.
For in-person submissions, 2D work and wall hanging sculpture have a maximum size of 30" high x 30" wide x 5" deep (including frame). Works submitted over 30"x30" will be automatically included in the Flatscreen presentation, which has no size limit. 3D sculpture has a maximum size of 3' high x 12" wide x 12" deep for pedestal art, or 3'h x 15"w x 15"d for free-standing sculpture, with a 30 lb weight limitation. Artwork must be original (no reproductions or gicleés). AI-assisted work is acceptable if labeled as such; entirely AI-generated work is not permitted. Digital media and original digital artwork as fine-quality printouts are acceptable. Artwork must be wired for hanging and meet professional web standards for photography. All submitted artwork must be for sale, with a 70% artist / 30% NAWA commission split. Work must remain available for sale throughout the entire exhibition.
Submissions open February 27, 2025. The deadline for entry is Monday, April 28, 2025. Artwork delivery to Leonovich Gallery (520 W 24th St, New York, NY 10011) must be received May 29–June 1, 2025, or by June 2 for volunteer deliveries. The exhibition opens Friday, June 6, 2025, with gallery hours Tuesday–Sunday, 12–6 pm. The in-person reception and award ceremony are Friday, June 13, 2025, 5–8 pm (ceremony at 7 pm). An artist panel talk is scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, 2025, 7–8:30 pm. The exhibit closes Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 4 pm, with hand pickup available 4–6 pm. Additional pickup and pack-up occurs Sunday, June 22, 2025, 11 am–4 pm. Shipped artworks will depart Monday, June 23, 2025, or as soon as possible.
