12x12x12: A Celebration of Community

12x12x12: A Celebration of Community is an exhibition open to all artists working in any media. Two-dimensional works must not exceed 144 square inches (12"x12") including framing. Three-dimensional works such as sculpture, glass, and fiber must not exceed 12"h x 12"w x 12"d. All work must be original and ready for exhibition upon arrival. Framed works must include wire for hanging with appropriate hardware and installation instructions, clearly labeled with the artist's name and work title. The Arts Council is seeking a diversity of media and forms of expression, and encourages BIPOC, LGBTQ2+, emerging, mid-career, and professional artists to apply.

The entry fee is $30 for up to three submissions. Entry fee is waived for current Arts Council members at the Friend ($50) level or above. Fee waivers are available for those for whom the cost presents a barrier. Submit applications as a single PDF to [email protected] with subject line "Call for Art 12X12X12" by August 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Include high-resolution images in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format (one image per artwork), a brief description of each work, title, date of creation, medium, dimensions, artist statement, and contact information including website and/or social media handles. Mail submissions are accepted and should include a jump drive with digital photos sent to: Arts Council of Lake Oswego, PO Box 369, Lake Oswego, Oregon 97034.

Accepted works will be exhibited in ARTspace gallery from September 9 through October 28, 2022. The gallery is free and open to the public Tuesdays through Fridays, 10am to 5pm. All accepted artwork must be offered for sale, with the Arts Council taking a 30% commission. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Accepted works must arrive by August 23, 2022, with prepaid return shipping labels or pickup arrangements. Unsold work must be picked up by November 4, 2022. Payment for sold work will be remitted by check at the end of the exhibition.
