12th Master Circle Division

This is a juried competition open to members of any IAPS member society. Works must be in dry pastel, with no oil pastels. Mixed media must be predominantly dry pastel. All artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of any photographic image. Work must have been created within the last two years and must be original, not copied from other artists or published materials. Work done in classroom or workshop scenarios is ineligible. Artwork sent to the show must be exactly the same piece as the photo submitted. Work may not have been accepted in any previous IAPS Exhibitions (this does not include IAPS Member Society shows). Work must be for sale, and the top layer of the painting should be at least 80% dry application of pastel.

Awards include: Prix de Pastel - $2,000; Gold Award in Honor of Daniel Greene - $1,000; Silver Award in Honor of Elizabeth Mowry - $600; Bronze Award in Honor of Bill Creevy - $400; and four Awards of Excellence at $200 each. The entry fee is $35.00 for the first image and $10.00 for each additional image. Up to 5 images may be submitted by an individual artist. Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to include only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background. Images should be oriented correctly and well-lit.

The entry deadline is April 1, 2024. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. For questions about the exhibition, contact Red Weber at [email protected].
