12th Annual Sanchez Art Center 50|50 Show

The 12th Annual Sanchez Art Center 50|50 Show invites California artists age 18 and over to create 50 small works (6" x 6") over the course of 50 days. Each artist chooses a theme for all 50 pieces. Creation of works will begin June 29 and end August 17, 2020. The exhibition runs September 15 - October 11, 2020.

Eligibility is limited to California artists age 18 and over. The entry deadline is Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 11:00 pm Pacific Daylight Time. The entry fee is $25.00 (non-refundable). An additional $75 participation fee is due upon acceptance to cover materials and exhibition expenses. Accepted artists will be notified on Thursday, June 11. Applicants must submit 3-10 artwork images (JPEG or JPG files under 5 MB, 1200 pixels or more on the longest side) or up to 3 sample videos. A proposed theme (no longer than 10 words) and description of medium(s) are required.

Sanchez Art Center will furnish each artist with 50 unprimed medium-density fiberboard (MDF) panels, 6" x 6" with pre-drilled nail holes, hanging supplies, and installation templates. All fine art visual media are accepted. Artists are responsible for hanging and taking down their own works on scheduled dates (September 5-7, 1-5 pm). The 50 panels will be hung unframed in a 7x7 grid with 1" spacing between panels; one work may be hung separately and optionally framed (not wider than 10"). All artworks will be for sale at the same price per artist (guideline $50-$175, minimum $45). Sanchez Art Center will process sales and take a 30% commission.
