About This Call

River Oaks Square Arts Center is seeking ceramic vessels (mugs, cups, yunomis) for its 12th Annual Dirty South Cup Call and Competition. Up to 80 artists will be chosen for this national, juried exhibition showcasing traditional or non-traditional ceramic vessels that demonstrate exemplary creativity, experimentation, and imagination.

Eligibility and Requirements: Open to all artists working in clay and residing in the United States. Functional and non-functional pieces are accepted. Each artist may submit up to three works. Work must not exceed 7" x 7" x 7" and must weigh under 15 lbs. All work must be for sale with a maximum value of $200 per piece. Entry fee is $15 per artist. Digital entries only in JPEG format, 5MB maximum, with one image per entry.

Juror: Amy Kline-Alley, who holds a BFA in Ceramics from Alfred University and an MFA in Sculpture from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. She is known for her work in high-fire porcelain. Exhibition dates: April 16 - May 30, 2026 at River Oaks Square Arts Center, Alexandria, Louisiana. Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs. The gallery retains a 30% commission on all sales.
