12 X 12 Exhibition

Angad Arts Hotel invites submissions for artwork from the Greater Saint Louis region (within 200 miles of the hotel) for a 12 X 12 Exhibition celebrating the hotel's fourth anniversary. All works must be exactly 12 inches by 12 inches in final dimensions and may include drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, printmaking, glass, assemblage, collage, written word, fiber, or sculpture. Final pieces must be professionally framed and/or ready for display. Submissions are open to individuals living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius (Chicago, IL and Kansas City, MO are not eligible).

The entry fee is $35.00. An early bird discount is available—no entry fee required for submissions received by September 14th, 2022. A special opportunity is available for textile artists to create a large textile installation piece with fixed height of 110 inches and width varying from 60 to 300 inches for the hotel's reception desk. Sculpture submissions must protrude no more than six inches from the wall with professional hanging hardware included for drywall installation.

Submission deadline is September 25th, 2022 at 10:59 p.m. CST. Selected artists will be notified by September 30th, 2022. Artwork must be delivered no later than October 11th, 2022, with delivery available October 9th-11th. The exhibition opens November 1st, 2022 and remains on display until late April 2023. Selected artwork will be displayed in prominent public spaces throughout Angad Arts Hotel in the Grand Center Arts District. All artwork is available for purchase through www.shop.angadartshotel.com with Angad Arts Hotel retaining a 33% commission and the artist receiving 67% of the sale. Artwork will be professionally photographed, promoted through the hotel's website and social media, included in First Friday artwalks, and featured in weekly curator tours. Artists are responsible for delivery to and from the hotel; shipping is the artist's responsibility.
