About This Call

The 12 Freedoms Gained Juried Art Show invites Texas artists 18 and up to submit work reflecting the time period 1865-1945. The show celebrates twelve freedoms: To Birth & Name Children, To Do Business, To Dress, To Grow Food, To Marry, To Own, To Preserve History or Heritage, To Read & Write, To Serve in the Military, To Travel, To Vote/Legislate/Govern, and To Worship.

Submissions are accepted across ten creative expression categories: Fine Arts I (sketch, painting, carving, etc.), Fine Arts II (video, animations, film), Dance, Fashion Art, Drama, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Quilts, Spoken Word, and Written/Literature. Artists may submit one entry per category. Entry fee is $20.00 per submission, with a maximum of 3 applications allowed.

Work sample requirements: Fine art must not exceed 40 x 20 inches and should be submitted as low-resolution JPEG images. Performance art must not exceed 4 minutes and should be submitted as MP4 files. Literary works must not exceed 5000 words.
