12 1/2 Days of Xmas LIVE!

MCA Denver is seeking creative acts to perform in the museum's atrium during the holiday season for the 12 ½ Days of Xmas LIVE! program. The program runs from Friday, December 20 through Sunday, January 5, with no performances on Mondays, Christmas, and New Years Day. Performances will be held at 5PM Tuesday–Friday and at NOON on Saturdays and Sundays. Each chosen performance will receive a $50 honorarium, and one performance will be selected to receive a $500 cash prize.

Performances must be limited to 30 minutes and contained on an 8'x8' stage provided by the museum. Restrictions include no explosives, open flames, running water, or live animals. The museum welcomes dancers, musicians, performance artists, and other creative performers working in theatre, opera, sound art, multimedia performance, spoken word, puppetry, and interdisciplinary forms. Consideration will be given to variety and creativity.

To apply, include the names of all performers and a description of the performance, along with available performance dates. Applicants are strongly encouraged to include one video link of a past performance and may include up to three photographs. Performers under 18 require parental consent. Performers must provide their own equipment. Applications must be submitted online through callforentry.org by October 30.
