About This Call
This annual exhibition is a thank-you to all members of Spencertown Academy Arts Center. Members may submit one original artwork in any 2D or 3D media, including painting, drawing, photography, collage, mixed media, printmaking, encaustics, ceramic, glass, metal, stone, wood, and other sculptural media. Work must not have been previously exhibited at the Academy and should preferably have been created in the last 3 years. There is no submission fee for members.
Artwork size restrictions: 2D/wall-hung work should not exceed 30" in any dimension including mat and frame. Sculpture and 3D work must be light enough for one person to handle and should not exceed 30" in any direction. Framed work must be ready to hang with securely attached picture wire and professional hanging hardware. Giclee prints and reproductions are not accepted. For projected, video, or electronic media, contact [email protected] before submitting.
Submissions are made through ShowSubmit.com and must include a high-quality JPEG photo, title, year of creation, media, dimensions, and sales price. An optional artist bio or statement may be included. All artwork must be delivered and picked up in-person on designated dates and must remain for the duration of the exhibit (May 30 – June 28, 2026). Works may be submitted for sale or as "not-for-sale." The Academy retains a 35% commission on sales, with artists receiving 65%. The Academy insures work up to $5,000 per item while on premises; artists are responsible for insurance during transport and for any value exceeding $5,000. Images of accepted artwork may be used by the Academy for publicity and promotion. For questions about exhibition requirements, contact [email protected].
