11th Annual Living Mark Exhibition

Verum Ultimum Art Gallery invites artists to submit work for the 11th Annual Living Mark Exhibition at the gallery's new location in Portland, Oregon. Artists are encouraged to enter any interpretation of the theme. All mediums are welcome, with emphasis on mark making as evidence of the artist's hand and the individual style of the art maker. The call welcomes abstract or representational work and invites artists to explore personal interpretations of "The Living Mark" as a metaphor for or reflection of life itself.

The competition is open to all 2D and 3D artists, national and international, working in painting, drawing, photography, graphics, digital, and sculpture. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Wall-mounted works must not exceed 48" in height or width; larger works will be considered for the 3D Virtual Gallery only. Entry fee is $25.00 for one artwork, with an additional $5.00 media fee for each additional image up to 6 total images. Submit digital JPG image files through the application platform.

Selected artists will be featured in a group exhibition at Verum Ultimum Art Gallery from August 10 to September 7, 2024, with an opening reception date to be announced. The exhibition will be published on the gallery website, and artists will be featured in blog posts and social media. All works must be for sale, with the gallery taking a 35 percent commission. Artists will be notified of acceptance by email no later than July 30, 2024. Accepted artwork should be shipped or hand-delivered to the gallery address (1513 SE 42nd Ave, Portland OR 97215).
