About This Call
10x10x10xTieton is Tieton Arts & Humanities' annual juried exhibition inviting artists to create work no larger than 10 inches in any dimension. The exhibition features approximately 200 artists from around the world with no media restrictions, displaying a broad range of pieces including sculpture, painting, book arts, photography, and mixed media. All accepted works are featured in a fully illustrated, handbound, hardcover catalogue produced by Marquand Books and made in Tieton at Paper Hammer Studios. Each accepted artist receives one free copy of the catalogue.
Eligibility is open internationally with no geographic limits. All entries must be of original design and personal execution, made within the previous three years. Submissions require a minimum of 2 and maximum of 20 work samples (images, audio, or video combined). Entry fee is $30 for the first two submissions, with an additional $12 per artwork for submissions beyond the minimum. The submission deadline is June 16, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified by June 25, 2021.
The exhibition runs August 7 - October 10, 2021 at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse in Tieton, WA, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 7 from 12-3pm. Jurors include Theresa Bembnister, associate curator at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, and Valerie Lazalier, Curatorial Project Manager at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. Five Juror's Awards of $150 each will be given at the opening reception, and a People's Choice award of $150 will be voted on by gallery attendees. Accepted works must arrive by July 16, 2021 and must include return shipping labels or pickup arrangements. A 40% commission is charged on all sales handled through TA&H. Artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition and may be picked up by October 29, 2021.
