About This Call
10x10x10xTieton 2017 is an open, international exhibition with no geographic limits. All entries must be original works of personal execution made within the previous three years. All media are welcome.
Works must not exceed 10 inches x 10 inches x 10 inches, including frame or case. Submission fees are $30 for the first two submissions and $10 for each additional artwork; a minimum of two submissions is required. Submit one JPEG per artwork. The exhibition runs August 12 - October 8, 2017 at the Mighty Tieton Warehouse in Tieton, WA, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 12 from 12-3pm. Artists will be notified of acceptance by Monday, June 26, 2017.
Each accepted entry will be featured in a fully illustrated, handbound, hardcover catalogue, with each accepted artist receiving one free copy. Five Juror's Awards of $100 each will be given at the opening reception, and there is also a People's Choice award of $100 voted on by gallery attendees. Accepted works must arrive by Wednesday, July 12, 2017 and will be returned by November 3, 2017. A 40% commission will be charged on all sales, handled through Tieton Arts & Humanities. Artists are responsible for shipping sold artwork to buyers. Jurors are Lloyd Herman, founding director of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Gia Hamilton, director of the Joan Mitchell Center and independent curator.
