10th Annual Waterworks Juried Watercolor Art Show

The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association presents the 10th Annual "Waterworks" Juried Watercolor Art Show with support from the Joe Hanks Van Cleave Foundation. This exhibition is open to all LPAPA Signature, Artist, and Student Members in good standing with membership current through June 2026. Artwork must be original watercolor paintings created in plein air or in studio within the last year and not previously shown in a LPAPA Gallery show. Only plein air works are eligible for the top 1st Place Award. Digital artwork will not be accepted.

Submissions open January 15, 2026, through OnlineJuriedShows with a deadline of Monday, March 23, 2026 (before midnight PDT). Entry fee is $40 for up to 2 painting images; each additional image is $5, with a maximum of 6 images allowed. No more than 3 entries per artist will be accepted as Finalist and/or Semi-Finalist. Notifications will be sent by Monday, March 30, 2026. Artwork specifications: unframed size between 18.5 and 37 united inches (length + width). All accepted work must be properly glazed, professionally framed, wired, and ready to hang.

The online art catalog runs May 4 - June 1, 2026, with an online auction May 4-7. The gallery exhibition opens Thursday, May 7 through Monday, June 1, 2026, at The LPAPA Gallery, 414 North Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, CA 92651. An Art Walk Reception is held Thursday, May 7 (6PM-9PM) with awards announcement at 7PM. Drop-off deadline is Tuesday, May 5 by 1PM; shipped work must arrive by Friday, May 1. Pickup of unsold work is Tuesday, June 2 (10AM-1PM). Awards include 1st Place "Best Plein Air Watercolor" $1,000 plus invitation to the 2026 Laguna Invitational, 2nd Place $500, 3rd Place $250, and Honorable Mention $100.
