10th Annual The Crow Show

The Crow Show 2024 is the 10th anniversary national exhibition of visual arts running March 1-30, 2024, produced by The Studio Door in San Diego. This exhibition celebrates the crow through creative interpretations of all black birds, ravens, and other Corvus species. The show seeks to represent the many faces of the crow in reality and fantasy, exploring its mythological importance and significance as a muse to contemporary artists.

Artists may submit one to three images of 2-D or 3-D work. Entry fee is $35 for the first work, with an additional $5 media fee for each additional work (maximum three works). Submission deadline is January 31, 2024 at 10:59 PM PST. 2-D artwork must be gallery-ready, professionally presented, and framed in black or natural wood with plexi (no glass). Maximum size for 2-D work is 7.5 feet height by 4 feet width including frame. 3-D work must fit through an average doorway and not exceed 8 feet in height. Artists will be notified by February 3, 2024. Accepted works will be exhibited either in the physical gallery or online gallery, with all selected works included in the national exhibition catalog. A public reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 6-9 PM. Three artists will receive a Juror's Award certificate and $100 check for the most imaginative interpretations of the theme. The juror is Patric Stillman, The Studio Door founder and gallery owner. Artwork sales are split 50/50 between artist and gallery. Shipped artwork must arrive by February 23, 2024, or hand-delivered on February 24, 2024. Unsold artwork will be shipped out April 3, 2024.
