10th Annual Living Mark Exhibition

Verum Ultimum Art Gallery invites artists to explore the theme "The Living Mark" for its 10th year. This is an online-only exhibition. Artists are invited to enter work that is any interpretation of the call theme. ALL MEDIUMS are welcome. Mark making is an integral part of the creative process and the evidence of the artist's hand is paramount. Successful works seem to be enlivened by these marks, whether abstract or representational. This call emphasizes the process with a focus on individual style, whether impassioned, studied, or subdued.

Selected artists will be featured in a virtual group exhibition on the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery website, including an exhibition page and virtual viewing galleries that show work in scale. Artists will also be featured through online blog posts. Social media promotion will focus on this exhibition for 4 weeks. The exhibition opens in October 2023 and runs for a minimum of 5 weeks. An exhibition book will be produced and remain in the Verum Ultimum library to be shared with visitors for years to come.

Works may be for sale or artists may elect a "for exhibition only" (NFS) option. The gallery commission for this virtual exhibition is 30% on all sales. The gallery will provide prepaid shipping labels when work sells. Entry requires a minimum of 2 images (maximum 6). Entry fee is $25.00 for 2 images, with $5.00 for each additional image. Images must be submitted as digital JPG files. Artists must be 18 years of age or older. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by September 20, 2023. Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and artwork.
