Artist Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older and may submit up to three (3) works of art for consideration. Open to all professional and amateur artists in the United States.
Deadline: Midnight, PDT, Sunday, April 19, 2026. Notification of accepted work will be sent Friday, April 24, 2026.
Artwork Eligibility: All entries must be original artwork created in the last three years. No student/supervised work accepted. All work MUST be for sale. Entries must not have been shown in previous Buenaventura Art Association Open Competitions. All mediums welcome. 2D or 3D welcome. Online entry only.
Fees: There is a flat $3.00 processing fee to enter. After that, the fee is $50 for up to three pieces for non-BAA members and $45 for up to three pieces for BAA members. All fees are non-returnable whether or not any of your pieces are accepted. Commission on sales is 60% to the artist, 30% to BAA and 10% to OAC.
Size Limit: 2D pieces can be no larger than 48 inches wide by 48 inches high. 3D pieces limited to 24 inches wide, 24 inches deep, and 48 inches high.
Delivery of Accepted Work: Deliver accepted work to Ojai Art Center, 113 S. Montgomery St., Ojai, CA, 93023, on Friday, May 1, 2026, 10:30am to 1:00pm.
For out-of-area artists, artwork can be shipped at artist's expense, with a pre-paid return shipping label. Shipping information will be given upon acceptance. Shipped work must arrive by Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
Reception: Artists Reception and awards ceremony Saturday, May 9, 2026, 1 - 3pm , at Ojai Art Center, 113 S. Montgomery St., Ojai, CA.
