We invite greater Portland-based artists whose work engages with queer identity, community, and imagination, across all backgrounds, to submit to Queer Spirit, a celebration of resilience, belonging, and radical imagination.
In this moment, when queer and trans lives are being targeted, Queer Spirit is a refuge and a gathering of artists whose work insists on our full, unshakable presence. Submissions may directly address queer identity, explore the broader possibilities of queerness, or simply reflect the perspectives of queer artists. Queer Spirit considers how we imagine new worlds, honor chosen family, and create spaces of care, joy, and resistance.
We welcome work across all media, with a particular interest in experimental, thought-provoking, and installation-based practices. This exhibition aims to reflect the multiplicity of queer experiences and highlight the power of art to foster dialogue, belonging, and hope.
