Conditions of Entry and Eligibility

ENTRY FEE $45.00 Two Works, Non-refundable

Works entered must be entirely the work of the artist living in the province of Ontario, executed without the supervision of an instructor, created after January 1, 2015 and not previously shown in a juried exhibition. Works must not be copies, derivatives, or based in any way on other copyrighted or published, paintings, drawings, photographs or other artistic work.

Original two dimension paintings or drawings created in any medium. No photographs, computer generated or digitally enhanced art, however, photographs and digital prints may be used as part of a collage, but should not constitute a major part of the work.

Outside dimensions and size limits of artwork, including frames, are: max 62 inches high x 42 inches wide x 2 inches deep. Works must be suitably presented and ready for hanging. Artists and/or their agents must remove all packing due to lack of storage. For guidance, please refer to our website: www.artsandlettersclub.ca. Artists are responsible for their own insurance while works are in the Club.

All works entered must be for sale. Artists must make their own shipping and return arrangements.The Arts & Letters Club will levy a 20% commission on sales. HST will be added to the sale price. In the event of a sale, shipping to the customer is the Artist’s responsibility.

The artist by submission grants the Club the right to photograph accepted work for publicity, educational, references and website purposes.

The decision of the Jurors is final. Artists may not substitute other pieces for the ones submitted for digital jurying. It must be clear to the jury that the works are original. The Club reserves the rightto reject art work not fairly represented by the digital image.
