1st Annual Online Juried Competition
“Forms and Fragments”
October 1st, 2026 – November 11th, 2026
The Atlantic Gallery is proud to announce their 1st "Forms and Fragments" Online Art Competition for 2026. “Fragments and Forms” invites artists to explore the relationship between what is transformed, remembered, assembled, or broken, and the shapes those experiences become. This exhibition considers the beauty of what remains, what is reconstructed, and what emerges. From shattered histories to merging organic structures, artists are encouraged to interpret fragmentation and form in personal, political, material, or conceptual ways. Works may investigate memory, identity, landscape, culture, architecture, the body, or abstraction through literal or symbolic fragments and evolving forms considering how the parts relate to the whole.
Juror: Patricia Miranda is an artist, curator, educator, and founder of The Crit Lab and MAPSpace where she created residencies in NY and Italy. She is the founder of the Lace Archive, an historical community archive of thousands of donated lace and family histories. She has received grants from Barbara Deming Fund; Ruth and Harold Chenven Foundation; Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance; ArtsWestchester/New York State Council on the Arts; an Anonymous Was a Woman Covid19 Relief Grant; and was part of a year-long NEA grant working with homeless youth. She has been awarded residencies at the Textile Art Center, NYC; RUC Rural Contemporary Residency, Italy; Constance Saltonstall Foundation; I-Park Foundation; Weir Farm Foundation; Vermont Studio Center, and JV Printmaking Studio. Recent solo exhibitions include: Five Points Art Center, CT; the Olin Fine Art Center, PA; 3S Artspace, NH; Jane Street Art Center, Garrison Art Center, NY; ODETTA Gallery, Maine Window DUMBO, NYC. Group exhibitions include Museo Camuno, Italy; Spartanburg Art Museum; Dunedin Fine Art Center; HV MOCA; Lyman Allyn Museum; Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance, NYC. Her work has been featured in PiùValli TV, Movida Terre Camune Magazine, Art New England, Two Coats of Paint, and Brooklyn Rail.
