Taking It Outdoors (TIO) 2024

Please review the following information!

1. MEDIA CRITERIA:
We ask that artists submit a minimum of 2 pieces and a maximum of 3. One piece from each artist will be selected for the exhibit. Members that submit are guaranteed to have a banner in the exhibit. All styles and mediums are welcome. There is no theme. Images must must be family friendly.

2. SUBMISSION DEADLINE
The deadline for submissions is

Thursday, February 1, 2024.

3. FEES
The exhibit fee is $55 which includes a $10 entry fee plus the artist's contribution of $45 toward the cost of banner production.

Payment is due at the time of submission. You can pay by PayPal. You can also pay by check. Payment will be considered late if received after Wednesday, February 14.

4. INSTALLATION SCHEDULE
Banners will be installed incrementally in three waves over the spring and early summer and will remain in place through November, 2024.


5. IMAGE SIZE
We would like to use the image you upload at submission to print your banner. Send us the highest resolution image available. However, we will work with whatever size image you send.

Our ideal size would be a jpg image of at least 6 MB, preferably 8 MB or a png image of at least 9 MB, preferably 11 MB. We will only be accepting jpg (aka jpeg) or png images for this call.

If the resolution of your image is inadequate, we will contact you at time of printing to arrange for a higher resolution image. Of course, if you have questions about image size, call Kenoli at 510.717.1706

6. QR CODE
We will print a QR code on your banner that points either to your personal website or to your gallery on the AOPR website. A QR code is not required on your banner.

If you don't have a personal website, consider setting up a gallery on the AOPR website so people can see your art and be in touch with you.

7. SUBMISSION INFO
The following information is required for each piece:

• Title

• Media

• Dimensions

• Short description (example: 'figure looking in a mirror').



8. HOW TO EDIT YOUR ENTRY
You can edit your entry by coming back to the site as often as you wish. However, you will be unable to edit it after you click 'SUBMIT THIS ENTRY'.

9. INQUIRIES REGARDING BANNER ARTWORK
TIO will notify you if we receive inquiries about your artwork so that you can communicate directly with interested parties.

10. BANNER CONDITION AFTER TAKEDOWN
Banners will be available to artists after the end of the show in an AS-IS condition.
