There is a $20 entry fee for this exhibition.
Artists may submit up to 3 entries in any medium.
This exhibition is open to artists of any age residing anywhere in North America.
Entries must be original works in any art media and completed in the past 5 years and not previously exhibited at Arts Illiana Gallery.
The deadline for entries is Friday January 19, 2018 at midnight.
One image per 2D work and 2 views for 3D work (Jewelry is accepted)and one video per audio visual work.
Images must be formatted as JPEGs and not exceed 3MB. (Minimum 200KB)
Images must be rotated for correct orientation.
Video entries must be a link to Vimeo or YouTube.

Maximum dimensions of 2-D works may not exceed 6.5' in any direction and weight cannot exceed 50lbs.
Maximum dimensions of 3-D works may not exceed 8'x2.5'x6.5' (In other words, it must fit through the door. No individual component may exceed 8', unless the Gallery Director has been notified and gives approval).3-D work may not exceed 200 lbs. or consist of more than 25 parts.
Video entries must include a link to YouTube or Vimeo.
PLEASE describe your pieces with the PROCESS/TECHNIQUE as well as the MATERIALS so the Guest Curator will understand what HE/SHE is looking at.
(NOTE: 'Photograph', 'Collage', 'Lithograph' and other PROCESSES/TECHNIQUES are NOT materials)
Examples of DESCRIPTIONS are: 'Inkjet print of digital photograph on archival paper', 'Solid ink print of iPad drawing on paper','Dye sublimation print of digital photograph on aluminum','Acrylic on canvas', 'Giclee print of oil painting on canvas','Glazed ceramic','Stoneware and glaze','Collage of found images and ink on artboard', 'Lithograph on paper', 'Mixed media', etc.
Acrylic, polystyrene, or Plexiglas is REQUIRED in place of glass in framed work.
Artwork framed behind glass WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Artwork that is made of glass or other very fragile material must be framed behind Plexiglass or other plastic to protect the artwork as well as the public. Remember that our gallery is a public space and people DO touch art even though we have signage discouraging touching. Unframed paintings and prints on canvas, aluminum, or Plexiglas are acceptable, provided they have a hanging wire on the back.
Jewelry MUST be mounted on matboard or other board and FRAMED with hanging wire on the back.
We do not exhibit or sell unframed prints.
ALL ARTWORK MUST BE LABELED on the back, or bottom of sculpture and tag on jewelry with: title, year made, materials, artist.
Artwork without labels WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Pieces must be installation ready with a HANGING WIRE ON THE BACK; no saw tooth hooks.
2D ARTWORK WITHOUT A HANGING WIRE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
If specific installation materials (other than a wire) are needed, contact the Gallery Director via email (
[email protected]) before entering to secure approval. Specific installation materials should be included, along with clear instructions for installation, with the shipped or delivered work.
Accepted video entries should be .mov, .mp4, or .wmv and on a flash drive.
ALL ARTWORK MUST BE FOR SALE and the gallery will take a 30% commission on sales.
The Guest Curator will choose accepted pieces and artists will be notified by email of acceptance.

If you do receive notification, PLEASE RESPOND WITH AN EMAIL to let us know that you have received notification and WHEN WE CAN EXPECT DELIVERY of your art.
The gallery reserves the right to reject any artwork due to inadequate preparation for installation, or for potential security or public safety issues. Any accepted and delivered works which differ in quality or are not representative of the digital file may be disqualified at the discretion of the Gallery Director.
Those whose works have been accepted are then responsible for transporting works to the gallery:

Accepted work must be delivered or shipped to Arts Illiana Gallery between January 22nd and January 30th, Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm.
If another time or day is needed for delivery, an appointment is required via artsillianagallery.com
It is the responsibility of the artist to transport and insure (if desired) works in transit to and from the gallery. Shipped work must be packed in reusable containers to be returned by post, clear shipping instructions must be included, as well as shipping labels, FedEx or UPS account number, or prepaid USPS postage.
Artists must sign the Loan Agreement upon delivery of their work to the gallery.
Artists who ship their work must print a copy of the Loan Agreement (it will be emailed to the artists), sign it and send it along with their shipped work.
Work not sold should be retrieved by the artist or artist's proxy April 20th through April 30th, Monday-Saturday 10am-4pm or by appointment via artsillianagallery.com
Work not collected within 30 days of the close of the exhibition will become the property of Arts Illiana.
