ART AT HIDDEN RIVER is sponsored by Saint Paul Public Schools Community Education in cooperation with Hidden River Middle School and with the artistic assistance of Artists' Circle, a Minnesota non-profit organization since 1997. The art fair is held in conjunction with Grand Meander, the special holiday promotion of Grand Avenue Businesses in Saint Paul, on the first Saturday of December. Hidden River Middle School, at 1700 Summit Avenue, is located between Grand and Summit Avenues at Cambridge Street (two blocks west of Snelling Avenue) in the hospitable Macalester/Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul.
FOR 2024, DUE TO RENOVATION WORK AT HIDDEN RIVER MIDDLE SCHOOL, THE ART FAIR WILL BE HOSTED BY HIGHLAND PARK MIDDLE SCHOOL.
Art at Hidden River provides an opportunity for 80 artists to sell their work in an easily accessible, conveniently-located indoor space during the holiday season. This show is run by artists for artists and priority is given to local artists. The jury, a knowledgeable panel, selects a balanced show. All decisions of the jury are final. We reserve the right to determine which entries fit the parameters of art and fine craft as applied to this event, and to make final judgments on all rules.
There is a non-refundable jury fee of $25 or $15 for Artists' Circle members. After July 1st, the fee becomes $35 or $25 for members.
The booth fee is $130 and is payable on acceptance into the show.
Artwork is juried on the basis of creativity and originality, skillful use of materials, and presentation/overall impact.
