Artist Statement

I create art to explore the strange, beautiful, and often impossible places where imagination meets reality. My work is driven by curiosity. I’m interested in the questions that don’t have tidy answers: What exists beyond what we can see? I enjoy the use of bold color, surreal imagery, layered symbolism, and unexpected combinations to build visual worlds that invite the viewer to pause and look again. My work often begins with a simple idea or question and grows into something more expansive, playful, and occasionally a little strange. I enjoy creating moments where the familiar becomes unfamiliar and the impossible feels briefly believable. Whether I am creating digitally, physically, or combining different mediums, the process is an opportunity to follow an idea somewhere I have never been before.
