Artist Statement

My work explores the traces that experiences leave behind. The memories, losses, tensions, and signs of endurance that continue to shape us even after a moment has passed. Working primarily with acrylic and aerosol, I move between abstraction and symbolic realism, building surfaces through layered color, erosion, street-art-influenced marks, and recurring imagery. Figures, horizons, animals, and fragmented forms emerge and recede, creating a visual tension between presence and absence, clarity and mystery. I am interested in paintings that can hold emotional depth without requiring a single interpretation. Whether quiet and atmospheric or bold and graphic, each work invites sustained attention and leaves room for viewers to bring their own histories to the image. Across individual paintings, large-scale works, diptychs, and triptychs, I aim to create work that feels contemporary and visually immediate while carrying a deeper sense of memory, resilience, and the unseen.
