Artist Statement

My work explores the complexities of the human experience, often through the female figure. Each painting becomes an expression of what we carry within ourselves: the tension between strength and vulnerability, the weight of expectation, the struggle for identity, and the moments when we finally allow ourselves to let go.

Through bold color, expressive movement, layered textures, and abstraction, I give form to emotions that are often difficult to articulate. Figures emerge, dissolve, fragment, and transform within their environments, reflecting the contradictions and complexities of our inner lives. Color becomes its own language, communicating conflict, energy, transformation, and release.

Although my paintings frequently center on women, their narratives extend beyond gender. They speak to the universal experiences of becoming, enduring, questioning, and finding freedom within ourselves.

My creative process is intuitive and deeply personal. I rarely begin with a fully resolved image. Instead, I allow each painting to evolve through experimentation, instinct, and emotional connection. Often, the work reveals something I hadn't anticipated, making the process itself an act of discovery.

Ultimately, my work is about making the unseen visible, inviting viewers to recognize something of themselves within the emotions, experiences, and stories that emerge.
