Barbara St. John

Artist Statement

Through the use of a palette knife and my intuition I conjure mysterious spaces in paint. Layers of oil paint create texture and the resulting imperfections add history and charm to each painting. These paintings emerge from my subconscious. The bright colors express my love of nature.
