Artist Statement

“Ordinary Systems” explores the psychological atmosphere embedded within familiar social rituals and domestic interactions. Through simplified figures, restrained symbolic forms, and carefully controlled spaces, the work transforms ordinary moments into scenes suspended between comfort and unease. The paintings reflect on repetition, conformity, performance, and the fragile emotional tension that exists beneath everyday behavior. Influenced by the collective anxieties and altered social awareness of the Covid era, the series examines how routine gestures and shared spaces can become psychologically charged, subtly distancing people from one another even in moments of closeness.
