Artist Statement

I work as a mixed media artist, building pieces through collage and layering of abstract and figurative elements.
I am drawn to the way memories and present experiences refuse to stay separate - they mix, overlap and weave
through one another. The work is deeply autobiographical. memories rarely arrive in order, so each layer settles
as sediment from a particular moment or impression of my life. The practice itself is process driven, it keeps
shifting and growing alongside experiences that feed it.
