Artist Statement

I am a developing bird photographer drawn to the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.

My photography began as a way to slow down and spend more time observing the natural world. Over time, I found myself becoming less interested in simply photographing birds and more interested in what their behavior can reveal when we take the time to watch.

A bird resting between movements, searching along a shoreline, standing alone in a marsh, or preparing to take flight can become more than a wildlife photograph. For me, these moments invite reflection on patience, resilience, presence, and the different ways we move through our own lives.

Through my photography, I try to preserve those small moments of stillness and create space for the viewer to pause with them.

I am still learning the technical craft of bird photography, but my purpose has become increasingly clear: to photograph birds not only as subjects, but as quiet reminders to notice what is happening around us, and within us.
