Artist Statement

I use photography to capture memories before they fade away. My work explores memory, emotion, and the beauty of everyday life. I photograph people such as family, friends, and strangers in order to capture temporary or meaningful moments. Through my lens, I hope to capture not only what is seen, but also what is felt. Photography allows me to pause time and share life's emotions in ways that words often do not. Many artists have influenced my work, especially Ken Ohara, Christian Boltanski, and Sophie Calle. Photography is important to me because it allows me to capture life as it unfolds—the emotions, relationships, and small moments that gives it meaning. Photography is my method of preserving fleeting moments and the emotions they evoke. I pay attention on the details that are simple to miss, capturing not only what I see but also what I feel. I want to continue taking photos that capture life's small, meaningful moments and the connections that make them important.
