My work explores the relationship between colour, form, memory, and the natural world.
Rather than reproducing reality exactly, I am interested in how landscapes, plants, seasons, and familiar images can be broken down into fragments of colour and shape, then reconstructed into a new visual experience. Through this process, a recognisable scene may gradually shift into something more emotional, symbolic, or abstract.
I often work intuitively, allowing unexpected forms and relationships to emerge during the creative process. I am particularly interested in the tension between the individual part and the whole—how a fragment can retain its own presence while becoming part of a larger image.
For me, art is not separate from everyday life. Through my practice and Studio AS WELL AS, I also explore how an artwork can move beyond the traditional gallery space and become part of the objects and environments we live with every day.
