Artist Statement

Resume
Frances Williams Staples was born and grew up in Rhode Island.
She graduated from Carleton College and received a Master’s Degree from New York University.
She’s dabbled in art all her life and taken many art classes in various places both here and abroad.
She’s obsessed especially with painting lighthouses and animals with a few landscapes and old barns thrown in.
She has one son and has outlived many Scottie dogs. She lives in Flemington, New Jersey with her dog Harry.
