Artist Statement

This work grew from my fascination with the way changing light transforms color and perception. Through frosted glass, I watched the branches of an apple tree move in the evening breeze, softly illuminated from behind. In that shifting image, I felt both the beauty of the physical world and its impermanence: everything we see is continually changing, appearing for a moment before giving way to something new. I wanted to capture the atmosphere of that fleeting, luminous moment.
