Jazmine Mitchell
Artist Statement
My name Jazmine, artistically I go by Jazzydel. I began painting around 2016 by recreating photos I would see of beautiful black women and eventually developed my own style which I like to say is a mixture of pop art and realism. I mainly use acrylic paints and I also love to include 3d aspects such as real jewelry, clothing and led lights to my pieces. My art is influenced by the beauty of black people and black women specifically. The themes of my work range from self healing journeys to political and social statements. My hope is that whoever sees my art can either relate and or reflect. Both are important and both are beautiful.
