Artist Statement

I have always been amazed how an image (or images) can capture a person and invoke an emotion from that experience. My photography is driven by this fascination and my own desire to create emotions from my images as well, portraying quiet narratives hidden in every day life in usual or unusual spaces.

Creatively, I enjoy developing abstract images, both color and black and white, drawing on the use of texture, form and light from the natural world. Structurally, I prefer minimalism, inviting my viewers in for a closer look, to see the form, feel the rhythm and find the surface in these images.

Ultimately, my goal is to create images that live in the space between reality and your imagination and that these visual narratives, leave you with a moment of pause and reflection, discovery and inspiration.
