Artist Statement

Nature is full of images and moments that speak to me in poetic ways; light, wind, rain, fog, the changing of the seasons. Nothing is more sensitive to change than the outdoors and it is in nature where I always find myself. Whether walking in the woods with the early morning light or at evening in the open prairie, my camera is always with me, helping me capture and recollect what interests me in the moment. It is through my photographs that I give back to nature what I receive from it; the calmness and the eximente. In other words, I photograph nature reveling its beauty, its mystery and its complex simplicity as an act of gratitude.
